Archivist’s Angle: Grad Alley and other School’s Out Celebrations

For the past 21 years, on the eve of Commencement, NYU has welcomed graduates and their families for an evening of entertainment in celebration of their great accomplishments. “Grad Alley” itself only began in 1996, but NYU has a long history of throwing year-end celebrations.

These students already boast a litany of accomplishments, including developing a program to empower women in Abu Dhabi, working in broadcast television, and founding a student organization dedicated to environmentally conscious living.
